Hey there!

Post by fredsmith on Wed Jan 19, 2011 1:15 am

Hey!

I haven't touched my RC stuff for a while now, since I started getting busy with schoolwork and such. I'm sure some of you remember me?

I'm just dropping by to say hi, and I think I'll drop by regularly in the weeks to come. I guess the old forum is destroyed... did someone say that they need the RC English Documentation? I have that saved somewhere in a .txt file.

Fred

EDIT: Yes, I found it, the RC English Documentation... it's now here: RigidChips English Documentation

That's what heard, too. Apparently, a lot of forums IPB hosted contained IP-violating materials, while IPB didn't do anything about them, therefore they were sued. For legal reasons, every forum they hosted had to be shut off from the public. For the same reason, no prior announcement was allowed to be made.

Oh, so they weren't allowed to notify the admins because they were afraid of the pirated material being backed up?? That's stupid. We lost all our stuff there... is it possible to make regular backups of whole forums like this one, anyway?

No, I mean of the forum, not your own models... so are the admins able to back that up?

Not only mine, there were others too. I have pretty much all of it now. Don't have many but its what I got.

List;
Bwansy's Dream. (Older model most likely)
BenBen (Idk who's or where..)
Juz's LAH and Runway.x
Dragon and P3 from Orz (Japan site)
Three Podracers, Bwansy Juz and Google.
C++ Banshee
Radar Truck from Juz (Plus the mod from Kedji)
JetCar from The 6
Halo 3 Hornet (I gave up on my mod one)
Two Raptor's from Orz again
XB-70 from Snake (Old model most likely)
Thorero's Best boat so far
Project64Mugen's SCR

And a whole massive list of un-named (Some unfinished) of chips

So~ yeah, if its alright with admins, can we post older model just to see what we have in total?

To kind of... rebuild the old forums? Good idea. I'm already posting the old tutorials... so we could, I guess.

Thought so, but the problem of 'rebuilding' is updated chips and admins permission to do so. Meh, I'll work on my stuff until its finalized. =D
