Hi, i could do with some help?

Post by Hellome on Thu Feb 24, 2011 11:11 am

Hi
I recently found RigidChips through this site / forum, but i am not here to talk about that.
Just wondering, is the latest version 1.5b?, if not can somebody tell me where to download the newest version, thanks.

Also, i was wondering where i should start, as at just a quick glance at the 'Files' forum seems very daunting.

I am also sure i found a manual but can't seem to find it again! Sad

Thanks for your help, i hope i am not to much trouble.

Thanks Very Happy

the latest version is 1.5b26, which can be downloaded here.
after extracting it, you can run it by executing Rigidchips15B26.exe, and open the pre-made models.
you can make models by analyzing their syntax and using a text editor, but i would suggest the fan-made RigidChips Designer, which can be downloaded here. in order to extract it, you'll need a .izh compatible extractor, like winrar or 7zip.

the files section files can be made by opening a text editor, pasting the code in the code section, then saving the file as a .txt file.

Hey there Hellome,

I was the one who posted the link to this forum on TPT's forum.
I hope you enjoy playing RigidChips. If you want to start making models have a look at this http://rigidchips.forum-motion.com/t45-rigid-chips-glossary
You can also look a this for some more specific help. http://rigidchips.forum-motion.com/t161-rigidchips-english-documentation

If you don't have a Lua path, no need to worry. Just extract the contents of the .zip file into your models folder, and bake sure that there is a folder called "Bernard", with .lua files inside.

Please do not write "LUA", beause it's "Lua". It's Moon in Portuguese, not a Limited User Account, Last Universal Ancestor, or the Lukla Airport in Nepal.
