first fish creation

Post by Sting Auer on Mon Oct 04, 2010 12:59 pm

As the name/description suggests, this is my first fish creation as well as my first creation to use oscillation.

Code:

// [RCD]
Val
{
   PITCH(default=0, min=-15, max=15, step=5)
   ROLL(default=0, min=-15, max=15, step=5)
   SPEED(default=0, max=0.3)
   TAIL1(default=0, min=-30, max=30)
   TAIL2(default=0, min=-90, max=90)
   X(default=0)
}
Key
{
   0:PITCH(step=5)
   1:PITCH(step=-5)
   2:ROLL(step=-5)
   3:ROLL(step=5)
   4:SPEED(step=0.01)
   5:SPEED(step=-0.01)
}
Body
{
   Core() {
      S:TrimF(angle=90) {
         S:Frame(angle=TAIL1) {
            E:Trim(angle=TAIL2) {
               S:Chip() { }
            }
            W:Trim(angle=-TAIL2) {
               S:Chip() { }
            }
         }
         S:Trim(angle=90) {
            S:Weight(angle=180, option=1.5) { }
         }
      }
      N:Chip(angle=PITCH) {
         N:Chip(angle=PITCH) { }
         S:Trim(angle=90) {
            N:Weight(angle=180, option=3) { }
         }
      }
      W:Trim(angle=-ROLL) { }
      E:Trim(angle=-ROLL) { }
      S:Frame() { }
   }
}
Script
{X=X+SPEED
TAIL1=30*_SIN(X)

TAIL2=60*_SIN(X)
}

control it just like an airplane. i would suggest only using F8 and F9 views so that you don't get sick.

i am aware that it is very inefficient, as well as hard to control. i have an idea on how to improve it, and i will be adding it soon
